Kashyap Rajesh is a Cornell student studying Information Science and Political Science with a minor in AI.
Over the past five years, Kashyap has been at the forefront of AI policy and responsible tech through his work at Encode, the world’s first and largest youth-powered movement for safe and responsible AI.
At Encode, he built a global chapter network spanning every inhabited continent, developed and ran educational workshops and literacy programs that reached nearly 50,000 students, and advocated for state-level AI legislation.
At Cornell, Kashyap researches the economic implications of AI at the JEM Lab for Generative AI at Work.
Kashyap also served as a 2025 Youth Fellow for the Rithm Project, supporting policy work designing prosocial technology that supports human connection.
